O Berivan
I began my journey in music education in 2015 at Uludağ University, where I pursued my bachelor's degree. In 2018–2019, I studied as an exchange student at the Conservatorio Superior de Música da Coruña in Spain, an experience that greatly enriched my musical and cultural perspective. Throughout my studies, I participated in numerous concerts and festivals both in Turkey and abroad, performing as part of various orchestras and choirs.
I also explored the Orff Approach and Suzuki Method through specialized seminars and hands-on work, and in 2019, I earned the Prodigies Training Certificate, further expanding my teaching toolkit. Music, for me, is not only educational but also deeply therapeutic — a philosophy I carry into my professional life and continuously strive to develop further.
I completed my master’s degree in Music Education at Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts and am currently pursuing a PhD in Music Education at Gazi University. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with a wider range of students.
Believing in the transformative power of music, my goal is to inspire students to use the techniques and knowledge they gain in lessons to express their unique perspectives. I am committed to building strong, respectful relationships with my students, tailoring my lessons to their interests and learning styles to ensure meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

About Me
I’ve been playing the piano for over 15 years and am currently a PhD candidate in Music Education. Alongside teaching, I actively perform as a soloist and collaborative pianist in concerts and chamber music settings, which allows me to bring real-world musical experience into my lessons.
My Teaching Approach
I use a balanced combination of traditional and modern teaching methods, integrating solid technical foundation, repertoire studies, and musicianship training (ear training, music theory, sight-reading, phrasing, and interpretation).
My lessons are personalized, encouraging, and goal-oriented — always carefully adapted to each student’s age, level, and musical interests.
Lesson Structure
Each lesson typically includes:
Technical warm-ups (scales, arpeggios, finger exercises)
Review of previous material
Introduction of new repertoire or technical concepts
Development of musical expression, tone, and interpretation
For younger students, I also incorporate engaging activities such as rhythm games, listening exercises, and creative improvisation to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
